PREFABRICATED RELOCATABLE HOMES PROCESS
We’re committed to making housing affordable & accessible for hardworking Kiwis
At Pure Homes we understand the importance of clarity, collaboration & communication when embarking on any project
To assist with planning and to help you understand the exact steps of the prefab home building process, we have prepared this process guide for our standard residential range. If you’re looking for a custom-designed contemporary prefabricated home from the ground up, we follow a similar process but begin with a specialised design consultation.
Pure Homes Transportable Home Process
01.
Initial Consultation
Whether you’re choosing an on-site or off-site build approach, selecting the right home provider and build partner is, in our view, the most important decision in the building process.
We invite you to contact us or make an appointment to visit our transportable home showroom to meet our friendly team and experience our designs firsthand. During this consultation, we’ll discuss your project requirements, goals, timelines and budget.
02.
Site & Delivery Feasibility
Following the initial consultation, Central House Movers will conduct a preliminary site check to identify any site-specific considerations or restrictions that may impact the relocation of your home. This assessment will cover proposed dwelling size, obstructions, foundations, or logistic considerations.
Pure Homes offer full project management for on-site connections, a site check will enable us to assess your site and discuss the level of involvement you would like from our team. This ensures we can tailor our support and services to meet your specific needs.
03.
Collaborative Planning
Once the site check is complete, we'll enter the planning phase. This involves further discussions to finalise project details, such as house design preferences and any other specifics relevant to your project. Pure Homes can then prepare and submit a detailed proposal outlining our recommended approach, scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and cost estimate.
04.
Contracts
Once we have finalised a concept design and you are ready to proceed, we prepare your contract. This includes a detailed floor plan, external elevations, electrical layout, internal kitchen elevations and comprehensive specifications list.
Our payment terms can vary depending on your lending provider. We can talk you through this process during our initial meeting.
05.
Consents
Typically, two consents are required for transportable homes - a relocation consent from your local Council and a Building Consent. The good news is that we take care of this for you.
Relocation Consent: The team at Central House Movers have been working with local councils throughout the North Island for many years. They'll work closely with you to navigate this process, all while communicating with our team at Pure Homes.
Building Consent: Our team will submit your working drawings to our Local Council (PNCC). The Building Consent may take 20 working days to process.
06.
Construction
It’s time for our team to jump on the tools. Throughout the build we’ll keep in regular contact - sending progress photos and updates at each stage. You’re welcome to visit our off-site construction facility during the process of your building project.
Once construction is complete, we will arrange a pre-delivery inspection to ensure you’re completely satisfied with your new build.
07.
Delivery
Once the Building Code of Compliance is obtained and your transportable home is ready for removal from our yard, the trusted team at Central House Movers will be in touch with you to organise your delivery schedule.
Seeing your new home arrive is often a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a truly special moment, so get that camera out to capture it all.
08.
Post-Delivery Inspection
We’re with you, right through. Our service doesn’t stop once your home leaves our yard. Once your home is installed on your site, a member of our team will travel to complete a post-delivery inspection of your home.
If deemed necessary, we will happily complete any post-delivery remedial work. Our 10 year guarantee reinforces that we don’t build homes we wouldn’t live in ourselves.
